Commander-in-chief insects BDF units


Manama, Mar. 14 (BNA): Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, today paid inspection visits to a number of BDF’s branches and units, where he was informed about their combat readiness, preparedness, equipment and the tasks assigned to them.


The commander-in-chief praised the sacred patriotic role played by the BDF personnel whom, he said, are making all sacrifices for the sake of nation, noting that the BDF is a bulwark that defends the nation, and a protective shield against any attempts to target the kingdom’s security and stability so that the nation remains an oasis of security and prosperity. 


Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa stressed that thanks to support and care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, the BDF boasts a rich record of military and administrative successes, taking pride in its landmark achievements at the national and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) levels.


The commander-in-chief affirmed that the BDF is resolved to enhance its military and administrative plans and cope with all military developments in order to be able to face all kinds of challenges through acquiring the latest combat systems and training its personnel on using modern technology.


The commander-in-chief valued highly the BDF servicemen’s bravery and determination to carry out their sacred patriotic duties to defend Bahrain and its hard-won national achievements, wishing the kingdom ever-lasting progress and prosperity, under the leadership of HM King Hamad, the Supreme Commander.


BDF Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Dheyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, was present.
