BRASILIA, 16th March, 2019 (WAM) — President Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil received H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during his official visit to Brazil.
During the meeting, President Bolsonaro and Sheikh Abdullah discussed the distinguished bilateral relations between the UAE and Brazil and the opportunities to develop joint cooperation in all sectors. They discussed the latest developments in the region and exchanged views on international issues of common concern.
Sheikh Abdullah conveyed Brazilian President the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their wishes to Brazil for more progress and prosperity.
The President of Brazil, in turn, reciprocated his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, and his wishes for progress and prosperity to the UAE.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah stressed that the UAE is keen to strengthen ties with Brazil and foster mutual cooperation across different fields to benefit the peoples of both countries.
President Bolsonaro welcomed Sheikh Abdullah’s visit, emphasising its importance in promoting UAE-Brazil relations and moving it forward to enhance joint cooperation in all sectors.
The meeting was attended by Hafsa Abdulla Al Ulama, UAE Ambassador to Brazil.
